Shri Cherukuru Venkateswara Prasad has been involved with the Bharatiya Janata Party since 1996, when he was an NRI living in Atlanta, USA.

In 1999, he returned to India and campaigned for the BJP candidate, Dr. N. Venkata Swamy, IAS (Retd.), who won as the Member of Parliament from the Tirupati Constituency, Andhra Pradesh.

With the blessings and encouragement of Dr. N. Venkata Swamy, Shri Cherukuru Venkateswara Prasad became much more involved in the political arena and eventually moved to India in 2001 to pursue his political journey under the guidance of towering personalities like Shri I.D. Swamy, IAS (Retd.), former MoS for Home Affairs, and Shri Chilakam Ramachandra Reddy (former State President of BJP in Andhra Pradesh). He is also closely associated with the RSS and maintains good rapport with several RSS leaders.

An articulate and multi-faceted person committed to the development of youth, Shri Cherukuru Venkateswara Prasad has spent countless hours building ties, solving issues in the community, and spreading the ideals of social justice, making a tangible difference in society.

Shri Cherukuru Venkateswara Prasad is currently the Sanchalak for Vivekananda Kendra, Tirupati region. As part of this, he is working with core teams conducting various programs in nearby educational institutes and universities to promote interpersonal communication, leadership skills, time management, and yoga among the youth in the Tirupati region.

Through sheer hard work and grit, Shri Cherukuru Venkateswara Prasad transformed himself from a seasoned engineering professional into an active BJP worker, contributing significantly to the development of the party. With the support of the BJP, he has successfully spearheaded various initiatives in the Tirupati constituency.

Shri Cherukuru Venkateswara Prasad has also sponsored several charitable activities. In 2014, he gifted a hundred sets of traffic light batons, 1,000 safety reflector jackets for police, safety masks, and hand gloves for the traffic police department.

Shri Cherukuru Venkateswara Prasad’s knowledge of both local and national politics, his proven skills in organizing a team of young BJP workers for the successful 1999 election campaign in Tirupati, and his willingness to take on any assignments entrusted by the BJP national leadership make him a strong choice to be put in charge of any constituency where the party wishes to make its mark.
